Terms of use

This agreement incorporates the terms and conditions for TravelDost (hereinafter called Company), to provide services to any person(s) (hereinafter called Client), availing services from TravelDost, and the person shall be deemed to have read, understood and expressly accepted these terms and conditions, which shall govern the transaction or provision of such services by Company for all purposes, and shall be binding on the User. All rights and liabilities of the User and/or Company with respect to any services to be provided by Company shall be restricted to the scope of this agreement. There is no contract between Company and the client until Company has received the payment in accordance with the procedures laid down under payment terms and conditions.The client will have to study, follow and abide by the terms and conditions of Company and absolve Company of any claims for not understanding / reading the same.

AMENDMENTS:

Company reserves the right to revise, amend or modify our TERMS policy at any time and in any manner it pleases.

Payment Options

We accept all major credit cards & debit card; payment can also be effected through Netbanking. All such payments are processed through an online payment gateway system. Your bank authorizes the card transaction directly without any information passing through us; all that we receive and store is the authorization code and the details of the confirmation of completion of transaction.

The gateway company and/or credit/debit/netbanking company may charge a service fee on all bookings. In case of cancellation of booking, this fee is non-refundable.

We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for a product, payment for which is subsequently declined by our payment gateway company or bank for any reason. This shall be regardless of whether the payment was initially confirmed and/or payment was charged on the card.

Delivery of Products/Services

Service delivery is done via an electronic ticket sent to the email address provided by you during the booking. This electronic ticket serves as the definitive document for services confirmed by us; this document , also termed as an e-Ticket, is a paperless electronic document with a unique confirmation number given to passengers in place of a paper ticket. Passengers may be asked to show a printout of this eticket by the principal service provider and/or security personnel.

Amendment and Cancellation policy

Cancellation and/or amendment of airline tickets shall at all times be subject to fees/charges/levies/payments as may be levied/payable to the relevant airline/carrier in accordance with such relevant airline/carrier cancellation/refund policy. Prior to booking tickets, you must acquaint yourself with the relevant airline/carrier cancellation/refund policy with respect to the ticket to be booked by you. Any cancellation/amendment fees/charges/levies/payments levied by/payable to the relevant airline shall be to your account.

You can cancel domestic flight bookings online. Log in to My Bookings, select the relevant booking and click the Cancel button. To amend/cancel your ticket offline, contact TravelDost Customer Care at +91 471 3944 3333.

Except to the extent stated in the individual airline/carrier terms and conditions or otherwise applicable to specific tickets booked/issued, cancellation fee are payable as follows.

For all offline cancellation of domestic flights a standard charge of Rs. 500 per person per sector , over and above the airline’s own cancellation charge will apply.

For international flight bookings a standard fee of Rs 1000 per person would be charged, over and above the airline’s own cancellation charge.

For rescheduling of domestic flights, TravelDost will charge Rs. 300 per person per sector as standard rescheduling charges.

For No-Show of domestic flights, TravelDost will charge Rs. 100 per person per sector as standard No-Show charges

Please refer to airline specific amendment and cancellation policy while using TravelDost Services. You may be required to directly contact the nearest airline office (of the concerned airline) to get your reservation cancelled.

How do I get a refund after canceling my ticket?

After canceling your booking, you will need to send us the paper ticket to the following address:

On receiving the ticket, the refund shall be processed within 30 days from the date of receipt.

In case of e-Tickets and PTA, the refund shall be processed within 15 - 20 working days from the date of the cancellation request being made. If we have received the payment through a valid credit card, then the same will be refunded to your credit card. Payments made using any other form of payment will be refunded by cheque within a maximum of 30 days from date of receipt of ticket. All refunds shall be processed subject to processing of refunds by the respective airline/service provider.

Hotel Rooms & Holiday packages Specific terms

All rates, unless otherwise stated, are per person on twin share basis in currency as per the quotation or as mentioned on the rate sheet.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIME:Standard check in time is 1400 hours and standard checkout time is 12 Noon. The same may differ for certain countries and hotels. All early check in and late checks out requests have to be handled by the clients directly with the hotels. These requests are at the discretion of the hotels and are always subject to availability. The charges towards the same need to be paid by the clients as per the hotel`s policy.

THE TOUR COST INCLUDES AND EXCLUDES: Please refer to the relevant tab on the package result page to understand for each individual package. For each Itinerary, all services will be as per those specified against the individual product.

VALDITY OF THE RATES & SERVICES:The rates mentioned are valid only for the mentioned period. The rates are subject to change without any notice. All the confirmed booking is NON TRANSFERABLE to the family members/friends/colleagues in case you change/cancel your travel plans due to any reason. Fresh booking will be done in case your family member/friends/colleagues wish to travel on that particular day/period.

SUPPLEMENTS:There is a compulsory dinner supplement during Festival/Christmas/New Year period as per various Hotel Policy at various cities. The same will be applicable for our clients.

MEALS:On tour meals, are as mentioned per the Itinerary/ Or as per the includes and will be as Hotel Menu.Company, however, reserves the right to change the meal arrangement, if circumstances make it necessary to do so. Company cannot guarantee a special meal / diet for the Client. If the Client misses or refrains from availing any meal arranged by the Company due to his reasons, there would be no refund.Where client makes a request in writing at the time of booking for a special meal / diet, company would make an effort for the same. However, the Company shall not be held liable if the same is not provided.The Breakfast if mentioned in the room cost will be provided at the coffee shop/Area designated by the Hotel during breakfast operation hours (in between 0730 hrs- 1000 hrs) only. Any requirement beyond the hours of operation would be subject to additional charge

MANDATORY TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:

Obtaining passports and visas shall be the sole responsibility of the passenger, who hereby undertakes not to hold Company liable under any circumstances whatsoever, for visas not applied for, refused and/or delayed documents and/or entries to/from the countries visited, for the sole responsibility to grant the travel documents rests and vests with the authorities concerned. Without prejudice to the above preceding clause, an express notice is given to all concerned by Company that they shall only assist passengers in securing and obtaining the necessary travel documents to the best of their ability.

RESERVATION:

Reservations can be made by paying a deposit of INR 10,000 or 50% of the Tour Cost (whichever is higher), per person prior to departure within the applicable time limit. All bookings are subject to availability and the applicable conditions of each product/service. This deposit will be adjusted against the total tour cost.

ACCOMMODATION:

The Company recommends that not more than 3 persons share a double room, as a triple room is normally of the same size as a double room. In case of a triple room, the third bed is a rollaway bed or cot.

CHILD RATES:

A child traveling for whom "without-a-bed" charge has been paid would not be entitled to a separate bed in the hotel. In case "with bed" charge has been paid for the child and the Client decides not to avail such facility whilst on tour, he would not be entitled to any refund. In case the Client decides to seek extra bed for the child booked on "without bed" basis on the tour subject to availability, then he shall be bound to pay additional amount charged by the concerned hotel directly.

PAYMENT, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:

All cheques / demand drafts / Bank Transfers / Credit Card Payments must be made payable to THE GREAT INDIA TOUR COMPANY PRIVATE LTD. Payments made by Indian nationals, resident in India are governed by the rules and regulations of the Reserve bank of India. All bookings once confirmed by you are not amendable. Transfer from one tour / service to another will be treated as cancellation and the relevant cancellation charges will apply and a fresh booking will have to be made.

In the event of any cancellation, the initial deposit amount paid shall stand for forfeited and further cancellation shall be levied as per the terms and conditions on the relevant products. All refunds will be payable in Rupees. If your visa is not granted by the issuing authorities, the applicable cancellation fees will be payable. The cancellation must be intimated to us in writing.

No refund will be made for partially utilised / unutilised services.

INSURANCE:

Company strongly recommend that all our clients take travel insurance but not limited to cancellation, delays, loss of deposit, medical expenses, personal accidents, loss of baggage and personal effects.Company makes it a condition that the client is fully covered by life, property and medical insurance policy. However Company cannot be held responsible for any claims.

RESPONSIBILITY:

All tour departures, itineraries, flights and hotels are subject to change with or without notice, as they are based on current schedules of transportation companies(Vendors/Suppliers) concerned.

All prices are subject to increase based on revision in fares and fluctuations in the exchange rates. In case of any increase, passengers will have to pay the difference.

Timings of conveyance are subject to change and consequently may be revised at any time. The itinerary is subject to alteration before or during the tour with or without notice.

Company does not accept responsibility for losses and additional expenses, due to delays or changes in air, train, ships or other services, missed connections, sicknesses, weather, strike, quarantine or other causes howsoever caused and all such losses and expenses caused must be borne by the passenger/Client.

All arrangements for the services are made by TravelDost in their capacity as agents only for and in the interest of the passengers, with respect to any air/land/sea transportation and hotel which may be included in the program, and as such, holds itself absolved of all liabilities for any injury, delay or damage from any cause, whatsoever, for which the passenger/Client, by signing this contract undertakes to absolve Company and/or it's representatives from any legal claims.

All services are subject to the conditions and regulations referred to in the time tables, books, bills and notices of the companies concerned(Vendors/Suppliers) on whose airlines, steamers, railways, coaches and other transportation the passenger/Client travels and the passenger/Client by accepting Company's tour or any other service, agrees that the firms and the companies(Vendors/Suppliers) concerned shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay or detention caused howsoever.

All services & tours are subject to the rules & regulations of the Reserve Bank of India and Goverment of India and will operate as per the prevailing regulations & permissions being granted for such tours and services.

The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes and conveyances. The passage contract in use by the concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of such tickets.

Any disputes arising out of/or in connection with the services, are subject to Indian Laws and the courts Concern shall have jurisdiction.

No person other than the one authorised by TravelDost, in writing, has the authority to vary, add, amplify or waive any stipulation, representation term or condition in the brochure.

Any dispute between the Client and The Company(TravelDost) will be settled within the guidelines framed by TravelDost and in Trivandrum courts only.

TravelDost shall in no circumstances whatsoever be liable to the Client or any person travelling for:

a) Any death, personal injury, sickness, accident, loss, delay, discomfort, increased expenses, consequential loss and or damage or any misadventure howsoever caused.

b) Any act, omission, default of independent contractor such as hotelier, hotel owner, owner of any airlines or shipping company, railway, ferryboat owner, operator, coach owner, operator, etc. or any other person or by any servant or agent, employed by them who may be engaged or concerned in the provision of accommodation, refreshment, carriage facilities or service for the Client or for any person traveling with him, howsoever caused.

c) The temporary or permanent loss of or damage to baggage or personal effects howsoever caused, in this condition, the expression "howsoever caused" includes negligence on the part of any person except the negligence on the part of The Company.

No liability on the part of TravelDost arising in any way out of this contract in respect of any tour, holiday, excursion facility, shall exceed the total amount paid or agreed to be paid for the tour/holiday and shall in no case include any consequential loss or additional expense whatsoever.

Each of these conditions shall be severable from the other and if any provisions were invalid, illegal or not enforceable the remaining provisions shall nevertheless have full force and effect.

COMMUNICATION:

The communication directed at the address of the Client as disclosed to Company, shall be deemed to have been communicated to the client. Travel agent through whom a client books will act to relay information from client to Company and vice versa. TravelDost shall not be responsible for any error on part of such travel agent in this regard.

FORCE MAJEURE:

Company shall not be responsible and/or liable for any damage caused to Client due to reasons beyond the control of Company (force majeure / Vis majeure) no liability on the part of Company arising in any way out of this contract, in respect of any tour, holiday, excursion facility shall exceed the total amount paid or agreed to be paid for the tour, holiday and shall in no case include any consequential loss or additional expenses whatsoever.

IMPORTANT:

Each and every party/or passenger (hereinafter called Client), shall deal with Company on an express and specific condition and understanding that notwithstanding any clause, provision, custom or usage, Company shall not be liable to in any manner whatsoever in connection with the documentation, baggage, registration, reservation, transportation, insurance, accident, delay, cancellation, suspension, improper arrangements or any other eventuality. The Client dealing with Company shall be bound by this specific understanding and shall not bring, make or raise any action, demand or claim against Company and/or its employees, Directors and shall also indemnify Company, if any claim is made or action is brought by any party claiming through the client against it because of his dealing with Company and shall always keep Company and or it's employees fully indemnified against any claims howsoever caused.

No claim or complaint of whatsoever nature and or any claim for damages shall be entertained and or admitted for consideration if lodged with the company beyond 30 days of end of our services and beyond 7 days at the end of package tour services. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in the Company / TravelDost brochures, websites and all communications is correct at the time of publishing, Company reserves the right to vary, amend, cancel, withdraw, and change the operator, services.
